「毎回ライティングが規定字数に達しない...」

今回ご紹介するテンプレートを使えば、ほとんど自分で考えることなくライティングを短時間で書き上げることが可能です。
ですが最初に言っておきますが、このテンプレートは最終手段です。
この方法では高得点を出すことはできません。
ただ「もう試験まで時間がない...」「平均点を取れればいい！」なんて人には有用な情報だと思います。
ではさっそく見ていきましょう。

文字数稼ぎのテンプレート
ではさっそく英検２級のライティングで使える "文字数稼ぎのテンプレート" をご紹介していきます。

英検２級のライティングでは、文字数制限が 80~100に設定されています。
このテンプレートを使えば約50文字前後の語数を稼げるので、考えるべき部分はたったの30文字程度ですね。
「ほんとにこれでいいのかな...？」「理由を考える部分が難しいんだよ！」などの意見が聞こえてきますね...
なので次は実際に問題をいくつか一緒に解いて、使う際の注意点やコツなどを共有していきます！
練習問題①
最初は１問目の練習問題を一緒に解いていきましょう。
お題は画像の通りです！
１文目
まずは１文目から見ていきます。
今回は Do you think ~?系の問題なので、書き出しは I (do not) think that ~ で始めていきましょう。
ここでのポイントは、問題文の「more people will do so」の部分をそのまま引用してはいけないということです。
「will do」の部分は「buy things on the Internet」の繰り返しを避けるための表現なので、そのまま使わず元の表現に戻さなければいけません。
この "そのまま引用できないパターン" は他にもいくつかあります。
例えば「such, these, this」などが使われている場合も、そのまま使わず元のワードに戻す必要があります。
第１文目
I do not think that more people will buy things on the Internet in the future.
２文目
次は２文目です。
ここはそのままでいいですね。
第２文目
I have two reasons to support my opinion.
３文目・５文目
続いて理由出しの文章である３文目と５文目をセットで見ていきましょう。
ここでは問題文の POINTS を２つ使ってそれぞれを書いていきます。
書く際のコツは The first [second] reason is that の後は『お題 is 形容詞』の形を使うことです。
この形を使うことで、次の理由補足の文章に繋げやすくなります。
また以下の２点も意識しましょう。
- お題の部分は、少しでも言い換えできると良い
- 形容詞の部分は、選んだ POINTS に関連したワードを使う
例えば今回は Price と Safety の POINTS を選んだとします。
第３文目・第５文目
- Price：The first reason is that purchasing things on the Internet is more expensive.
- Safety：The second reason is that using the Internet and buying stuff is risky.
４文目・６文目
続いては理由の補足部分である４文目と６文目をあわせて見ていきましょう。
この補足部分だけは自分の頭を使って考えるしかありません。
- 「なぜ expensive なのか？」⇒「配送料が上乗せされるから」
- 「なぜ risky なのか？」⇒「実物を見て購入できないから」
簡単な英語でもいいので頑張って書き上げましょう！
第４文目・第６文目
- For example, shipping costs are added to things bought online.
- For instance, people cannot get what they want without seeing the actual items.
７文目
最後の７文目です。
ここもテンプレートを使っていきます。
最後の問題文の部分は、最初とまったく同じものを使っても問題ありません。
より高得点を狙う余裕がある人だけ、書き換えをすることをおすすめします。
第７文目
For these reasons that I explained above, I do not believe that more people will buy things on the Internet in the future.

全体のまとめと総字数を載せておきます。

続いて２問目の練習問題を一緒に解いていきましょう。
パターンが少し違うものなので、スキップせずに最後まで見てください！
１文目
まずは１文目です。
先ほどとは異なり Do you agree ~?系の質問なので、書き出しは I (do not) agree with the opinion that ~ で始めていきましょう。
ここは問題文をそのまま引用しても大丈夫そうですね
第１文目
I agree with the opinion that people today should spend less time using the Internet.
２文目
次は２文目です。
ここはそのままでいいですね。
第２文目
I have two reasons to support my opinion.
３文目・５文目
続いて理由出しの文章である３文目と５文目です。
ここも１問目と同じく『お題 is 形容詞』の形をしっかり使いましょう
形容詞部分を not や un- を使って否定の内容にするのもコツの１つです。
例えば今回は Education と Health を選んだとします。
第３文目・第５文目
- Education：The first reason is that using the Internet is not educational.
- Health：The second reason is that using the Internet is unhealthy.
４文目・６文目
続いては理由の補足部分である４文目と６文目です。
ここも１問目と同様に自分の頭で考えましょう。
- 「なぜ educational じゃないのか？」⇒「教育的なコンテンツが少ないから」
- 「なぜ unhealthy なのか？」⇒「長時間見ていると目に良くないから」
第４文目・第６文目
- For example, there is generally not much content good for education.
- For instance, looking at a computer screen for long periods of time is not good for your eyes.
７文目
最後の７文目です。
ここもテンプレートを使っていきます。
余裕があれば問題文を少し言い換えしてみましょう。
第７文目
For these reasons that I explained above, I believe that people today should spend less time using the Internet.
